Post 5 CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

If I had to make changes to the curriculum, I had to add a topic, it would be to add a topic related to Ethics and Journalistic Treatments. This subject is done in the first semester and I consider it very important that I only lasted one semester. In the second semester there is the subject of Right to Communication and Freedom of Expression, but this is a bit far from Ethics. I wish there were more journalistic ethics classes in second or third year. Regarding the workload, I think that the suggestion of the study plan, of having 30 credits per semester, would be lowered. There are subjects, such as cfg or basic training classes, that sometimes require a lot of time for few credits, and sometimes are not essential for the career. Also, considering our career and how it is the practical part, this takes a lot of time for our tasks, such as the search for sources, interviews, investigations, etc. Having more editing rooms would also be ideal in our faculty. These types of rooms are...

A class that I enojyed at the university

A class that I enjoyed very much at the University at the moment, is Radio, with the teacher Michael Lieberherr. A subject that I have in this year (second year) in the two semesters. In a specific moment at the year, tha subject was so boring, because an actress teach us, and is very strange. But when come the main teacher, the classes was so interesting and we catch the knowledges. The fisrts works that we made in the subject were individual, and then, we made a group activities, and that was so funny.   In the first class I remember, our teacher we made us a tour the radio studio, and in the second class we present a news in this studio. We begin so fast, but it was so funny. The teacher taught us to write news, but in the radio style, that it was made in a different form. And also, we know about audio edition, and this is so interesting, because I never edit some audio or video. I know nothing ant in this wubject I learn some knowledges about this area of the career. We had...

Post 4: Time travel to the past or future

Imagen
Travel to the future When one asks this question, whether to travel to the past or future, I always think at first to travel to the time of the dinosaurs, or some other very old time of which there are no records or that my relatives have not lived. But thinking about it another way, I'm also very curious about what hasn't happened and that we don't know is going to happen.  I also don't like to think many more years, because when I think about the future, I want it to happen as soon as possible hahaha, so choosing something far away but not too far, I would travel 10 years into the future. Until 2032. I would like to travel to see how certain situations have developed, such as the environmental state of our planet. Take Santiago for example and compare it to 10 years earlier and see if smog levels have decreased or (hopefully not) increased. Also see what technological advances have been made, such as in the case of connectivity. Knowing how dependent we are going to b...

Post 3 - My Dream Job

Imagen
I study journalism, because I have always been interested in the field of communication, and I have liked the field of investigation a lot since I entered the career. This can mix working directly “on the street”, that is, going to different places to conduct interviews, and from home, an office or some other place to request documents and make phone calls. In addition to that, I am also passionate about sports journalism. I would like to and I imagine myself covering major sporting events. In conclusion, although I like the interior and the exterior, I have a preference for the exterior. As I mentioned before, I would like to dedicate myself to journalism and cover big events, so it would be a dream to be able to travel the world for work issues, and to get to know more countries and continents. I imagine my working life as something exhausting but very entertaining, and that I would do it with a lot of passion. In addition to what he said, I would like to be able to dedicate myself t...

Blog 2: The best Holidays/Concert ever

Imagen
Concert: I could count on the fingers of one hand the concerts that I have attended in my life, but it isn't difficult for to say which one I consider the best. In October 2018, in Instituto Nacional school there was a Kermesse, a kind of fair in which the courses sell foods and drinks, and on a small stage emerging bands performed. The main band was Tomo Como Rey,  a national band of the cumbia ska,  but I hadn't planned to see them because the concert was very late. But I met with a friend and finally we stay to see them, because we were very close to the stage. The concert started around 21:30, half an our later, and lasted between an hour and a half and hour and forty minutes. The show was spectacular, and as if that were not enough, once it was over, the band's vocalist took the time to take photos with the public. After this, when we were leaving the place, we met some members of the band who are where also leaving. We we re also able to take pictures with them.

Blog 1: A Country I Would Like To Visit

Imagen
A country that I would like to visit is Spain. One of the reasons why I chose this country would be because I have some prior knowledge of the seventeen Autonomous Communities. Like Catalonia, Basque Country, Andalusia, Madrid's Comunnity, Galicia, etc.  I am fascinated by the variety of languages, cultures and traditions that exist there. Particularly I would like to visit the Basque Country, because I have a course (CFG) of the Euskera and Basque culture, and I like it very much the history, traditions, and places of the Community. Also, I know some about the Basque language, but very little because it is very hard. In adittion, t he history of the language is also very curious, since the exact origin is not known, which gives way to many theories.  The Basque Country has many cities and places that I would like to visit, like Bilbao, San Sebastián or Vitoria-Gasteiz. Catalonia is an another place that I would like to visit, but I don't know much about this Autonomous Commun...
